FANTOM Photographic Quarterlyis a relatively new, independent art publication. The magazine aims to disseminate contemporary photographic practice in all its manifestations, with the aim to appeal and unify varying contingencies of the arts, of fashion, of design, and all venues of image production. It is rigorously curated, with content that ranges from established masters to vanguard newcomers, appealing to photography lovers and industry practitioners alike. It is a joy to work in the company of such an inspirational team of aesthetes, artists, creative thinkers, writers, and architects of contemporary taste.
Edited by the eagle-eyed Selva Barni (Milan) and Cay Sophie Rabinowitz (New York), FANTOM is published by Massimo Torrigiani of Boiler Corporation. Boiler also has a sister operation, FANTOMBOOKS, which has produced three limited edition volumes, the first two already sold out. Each of these texts boast unique designs that work specifically to augment the content.
Elizabeth Biondi’s Photo Booth column for The New Yorker recently published an article on FANTOM, with a lovely review of our latest issue, No. 06. Thank you Elizabeth, for your positive and encouraging words.
I encourage all of you to peruse the website and subscribe now: 40 new subscribers will receive one of 5 new titles, published by Steidl and selected by us.
And while a physical subscription is highly encouraged - the print production quality is exceptional - those who prefer to receive FANTOM digitally may do so via Other Edition.

Last night, NERO Magazine premieredBLONDE in Milan - a limited edition art work / book by Nico Vascellari, and the latest body in their publishing series, made in collaboration with Hospital Productions. The fabulous crew at Marsèlleria hosted the launch, which, as happily expected, turned out to be more of a raucous party than book lecture, complete with glitter and unidentifiable instruments.
And lest we forget, the work itself was gorgeous- quality design and production values, with a tactility that most certainly ups the fetish ante.
